Years ago, when the Edmonton Journal was ordered by head office in Toronto to endorse Jim Prentice over Rachel Notley, I took to Twitter in outrage, to denounce that decision. I didn’t lose my job. But the editor-in-chief who protected me - and who went public with the news that we’d be ordered to write the piece - eventually lost hers.
