Sometimes I will see a statist communist try to dunk on anarchism with the old "but who would do all the shitty jobs like washing dishes or collecting garbage purely voluntarily?" With the implication I guess being that capitalism pays you and you need money to survive, and statist communism would reward your service some other way and punish those who don't comply. I never understood that though. It's not like capitalism actually pays dirty jobs much better than any other. But even though it still sucks, people still do it. Even people who might have a good chance at a less dirty job. If these dirty jobs are getting done under capitalism by proles for relatively low pay and little respect; why would people be *less* likely to choose it in a community where everyone's needs are met and community-benefiting work is respected way more than some bullshit job aimed only at generating profit?
