One of the factors why economic control via sanctions, rating agencies and IMF loans no longer works, or no longer works *as well*, is that the BRICS have developed a number of mechanisms to overcome the #USA unipolar moment. The American Empire thus needs to resort to the use of military force.
While Brazil has a strong economy, the rest of Latin America is bound to decades of violence like we suffered in the 70 with the dictatorships and the "Guerra sucia".
