I think it officially started around the floyd race riots, as a lot of partisan bullshit did. But it got a lot worse since amazon demanded DEI in their 40k show, luckily Henry Cavill's a chad who cares more about the franchise than games wokeshop do and held ground long enough to cause a civil war within the fandom.
