If a society were to follow the simplified version of Christian morality that an ordinary person would recite if asked 200 years ago - go to church, be kind, be honest, don't steal, don't kill, marry and be faithful to your spouse and have lots of children - everything would be better than it is under any 'scientific' moral code put forth since.
So it has that going for it, which is nice.
