Yeah, have both the Red and Blue.
I absolutley love how both those carts are voiced. They’re definitely not a flat EQ and I think that’s a benefit for how they sound. I’ve had carts that sound too analytical, these both sound musical. (How’s that for hi-fi snob talk!)
The Red is a good all-arounder, sounds fantastic with hard-rock, metal, hip-hop, anything scooped EQ.
The Blue won’t really make those records sound much better IMO, but where it does shine is acoustic music, folk, jazz, vocals. That’s where it shines. And it really does. A lone acoustic guitar on a good mix will sound 3D. You’ll hear the wood. In some instances you can close your eyes and the musician is the room with you.
