I hate cooking, I've tried many things over the years to do it more because I think I'm suppoed to do it, including:

Buying cookbooks

Playing a Nintendo DS cooking game

Joining a recipe manager open source project

Nothing worked. You know what worked?

Having kids.

We have some prepared foods delivered for them, but ultimately I needed to know how to make simple things for them.

I still hate it, but I'm getting better at it, and not being terrible at it helps me hate it a little less.
