Recently tried a coaster brake conversion and it did not feel natural to me. The pedals were always in the wrong position. I still enjoy riding fixed gear. Finding a good gear ratio is important, lower is better especially for learning and if doing a lot of starting and stopping (ie. urban riding). Having them geared for long straight stretches makes it hard to emergency stop and less fun to ride. This is my current problem.
