assuming it's not hate listening and a mind is somewhat open, what do you think should happen when we listen to stuff we disagree with?
some stuff we'll hear that we already agree with. no real progress. some facts and arguments won't get accepted, even when they should. we're all too biased for that to always work. but some changes will also happen. that's the best we can hope for and better than not letting in other info and perspectives.
