No. Neither is true. "Homeschooling" is "skyrocketing" only among the fundies, but these "teachers," typically mothers, find that teaching and parenting aren't the same thing. Public schools for the most part end up having to clean up the mess know-it-all parents make because teaching is actually a career an art, not something anybody can do just because they breed. Oh, btw, the only reason "homeschooling" is advocated by the right isn't because of what is best for the kids. No, the right is using this as a means to force women back into the home coupled with getting rid of abortion. I despise "homeschooling" by amateurs for that and many other reasons. Teachers are paid far worse in private schools on average than in public schools, and they have rotten benefits including non-existent pensions. I am not talking about elite hoity-toity Ivy League prep outfits, either, which are full of woke rot far more than public school districts. I have been in the field 25 years, and I know what I am talking about. I also know what I am talking about when it comes to administrators power to destroy teachers' careers. Private schools are inherently corrupt because the parents constantly threaten to pull their kids out of them if teachers don't do their bidding. I worked in private schools, so I know how they operate.
