#PennedPossibilities 491 — Do you plan on publishing your current WIP one day?

The reluctance series contains many titles at this point, varying from short-shorts that have appeared as samples on Mastodon, to a short story, to a few works that may either become novelette or novella length. I think I should complete a number of titles before starting to publish, but I have to get to completed first. There's Inklings to complete also, plus an author's preferred version of an old novel I've gotten the copyright back for, plus the unpublished works, which need rewriting to 1st person. I should be busy.

My sense of it is that I need inventory before I start self-publishing. Gotta feed the demand if you get it, to make a brand. Having multiple works when approaching an agent is good (I'm not going back to my previous agent), and I might still do that on the advice of my commercial author friends and acquaintances. At least one of my Clarion teachers has a standing offer to read one of my novels if I ever present it to her.

Yes, I plan to publish. When, how, and in what time frame: Dunno.
