Wouldn't it be cool if you could upgrade the cooling and performance of your bitaxe, simply by placing it in a better stand? Now you can. 😎
Upgrade any Bitaxe simply by placing it in the CoolAxe Overclocking Stand. Specifically designed to fit all Bitaxe models, including the powerful Bitaxe Gamma, this stand not only enhances your mining setup aesthetically but significantly boosts performance through an innovative cooling system. Negative pressure sucks the air away from the ASIC through the stand itself, created by an additional fan in the back of the stand which vents the air out and away from the ASIC. This approach allows your Bitaxe to maintain a significantly lower operating temperature, even with stock heatsink and fan.
Full access to the back of the Bitaxe also makes the CoolAxe stand the perfect base for modding, like installation of a rear mounted heatsink. A Bitaxe Gamma in the CoolAxe Stand (60mm fan) maintains a median temperature around ~46.5°C with stock cooling and settings, and a median temperature of 59°C when running highly overclocked. Of course this can be further reduced by using aftermarket heatsinks and fans, allowing you to push the Bitaxe to its limits. In our testing, a additional heatsink on the back of the voltage regulator proved to be a effective addition to this setup and is highly recommended.
Overclock at your own risk and happy hashing!
