Between the announced feature cuts, the consistent decline in Assistant service quality, the long-standing bugs and issues with the "latest" batch of Nest cameras, the high subscription cost, high hardware price, and general crappiness of the platform across the board, no one should invest in Google's smart home platform for the foreseeable future — because Google isn't investing in it either.
