I found out that Dolphin has a SMB extension & I figured out how to edit file permissions of a user's folder in /media/ so that I could create SMB shares of specific external storage devices when they're mounted & I got it all working with a login & everything. Now I can quickly download things from my giant hard drive through my computer from my phone without relying on KDE Connect, which doesn't have a working file explorer function. I also found out by accident that VLC on my phone can see my SMB shares & I can log in & stream from them! If I'm connected to my network I don't even need to copy files & take up space on my phone!

I still want Resilio Sync to work again though. It was faster because I could add multiple devices to a torrent swarm in it & download from multiple at once, it was also faster with just one device sending a file somehow (at least while on the same LAN the same as SMB), & it doesn't rely on me being connected to the same LAN.
