As the trial starts south of the border, it is NOT a ‘hush money’ trial, it’s a business and elections fraud case.

Trump is not charged because he paid Daniels money; that’s unsavoury, unethical, but to my understanding not a crime.

He has been charged with lying about it: using illegal methods to hide it, and falsifying financial records to cover it up.

In short, he is currently fighting for the right to lie, cheat, mislead, and corrupt with impunity.
