Speaking only for myself, I'm less interested in which group of people has deeper or "better" ancestral ties to a location than I am in preventing needless suffering and death. Legitimate or not, natural or artificial, Israel exists and isn't going to stop existing, and anyone who thinks different is delusional. What I believe *is* achievable is a version of Israel that isn't so monstrously abusive to Palestinians, that maybe treats every human being *as* a human being. Call me crazy, but I don't think a Palestinian life has more *or* less intrinsic value than an Israeli one.
