First episode came in strong. The next three have had their moments of slogging through plot and moving chess pieces around. Elrond’s evolution from Galadriel’s ally and close friend—almost more—to the skepticism we’re used to from LotR (book and movies) is solid. (FYI, in canon, Galadriel married Celeborn by this time, and they lived in Lindon. Elrond marries their daughter; their child, Arwen, reknits the line of elves and men.)
