- They collect the data of every user
- Facebook overtakes the platform

What will likely happen:
- Facebook federates with the some of the fediverse
- It is deemed unprofitable and the project shuts down within two years
- The only thing left will be buggy non-standard Facebook extensions in some of the software and a more fragmented fediverse
