Tapir (npub100z…w3l7) Dad (npub1w6j…60pw) I'm just glad that at 14, I don't remember people telling me that I could change my sex. Because it would have been a tempting offer. I doubt they are properly talking this stuff through here either. Just introducing affirmative care and methods to alter the body.
There is one problem with affirmative care... you miss out on being treated as your sex. Having good and healthy friends of the same sex is so important to develop this aspect of yourself, to be treated as a girl or boy... and then later developing into a woman or man. Having mixed groups can help to develop this in a romantic context, but often you miss out on that development and get treated like whatever is dominant in the group. You need the opportunities to develop and become comfortable in yourself as you are. Likewise having healthy role models in this regard is important.
