Couple thoughts before I forget them:
First:
I don’t think Saylor’s focus on bitcoin as a digital asset and not a currency is a problem. The question is always: does the system coopt bitcoin, or does bitcoin coopt it? This showdown has to happen, and it doesn’t matter what Saylor’s opinion is. The protocol and the dynamics will play out IMO, one way or the other.
(I think the system loses because ultimately it can’t issue more, and simply owning it won’t change the protocol. The government will have to spend money people will accept, one way or the other.)
