2/ [My answer] I want my works to be used to train AI tools. I write nonfiction. When AI tools answer factual questions, I want their answers to reflect my research. All researchers should want this. I don't demand payment for this, any more than I demand payment for Google to index my online works. The fact that AI companies are very rich doesn't change this. (Google is also very rich.)
