I always thought that my grandpa was nuts to build an elaborate system of ramps for his elderly pup to get on the bed when I was a little kid.

Now I’m middle aged and I realized that I sleep with a mattress directly on the ground so that my little 8lbs Gidget dog doesn’t have too far to jump up and down on it. I guess catering to our pups runs in the family.
