With DDLC, for what it's worth, the game has auto-skip on dialog you've seen before (if you didn't take advantage), which makes dealing with it far less annoying. If you only played 5-6hrs, I suspect you didn't get the "good" ending to the game, as there isn't just one. I did get the Plus, so part of the reason I spent ~18hrs on it was probably because of the side stories added in that version, plus, more or less 100%ing it
