The following summarizes recent updates to Corny Chat

🚨File Uploads for Slides!🚨

Manage Slides for a room now includes support for choosing a local file to upload for the slide as part of NIP-96 integration. The URI field will automatically be populated after upload.



🚨Recurring Scheduled Nostr Events!🚨

Corny Chat now supports recurring scheduled events. When defining a scheduled event for a room, you have the option to set the event as recurring. A brief time after the event happens, the server will automatically publish a new nostr Calendar Time Event. When a scheduled event is set or removed, it should be reflected in the Discovery tab of the home page more quickly. When managing scheduled events in a room and making near term changes, the prior scheduled event may be deleted from relays.



🚨Minor UI Bugfixes🚨

- Placeholder text color for text boxes no longer conflicts with the text color or background color. This resolves an issue where text could not be read for existing values unless selected.
- The dimensions of indicator in text chat for those chat lines published to nostr has been corrected

🚨Server Side Changes🚨

On server startup, cache of scheduled events is rebuilt along with a review of live activities. Subsequent rebuilds to include external live activities (e.g, from zap.stream or nostrnests.com) now happen on a 15 minute interval. Live activities from Corny Chat that should be ended are updated as such, and those which ended more then a day ago are deleted. Room access to ACL relays (e.g. relay.tools, nostrfreaks.com) is granted allowing publication of those changes. Various improvements have been done for aesthetics in logging, and additional exception handling to catch edge conditions that may have caused the server to crash previously.
