I still have yet to see a conversation on Nostr that couldn't be had on Twitter.
What am I missing?
What am I missing?
quoting note10yz…kr3fI may have nuked my Twitter account, but that move isn't right for everyone. The Nostr conversation on Twitter still needs to continue.
On Twitter, I had over 18K followers. All I've discussed over the last 18 months has been Nostr. They've all seen my Nostr conversations by now. I'm not growing my audience on Twitter outside of the Bitcoiner audience and ecosystem. I was essentially speaking into the void there. I was going to purple pill any new followers. My community is already purple pilled. My community and my family are here 🥹
For those with much larger reaches outside of "Bitcoin Twitter", it makes sense to continue using Twitter with hope to purple pill as many as people possible. People such as LynAlden (nprofile…mw52) that have larger reaches such as macro-economics or investing topics on Twitter. gladstein (nprofile…f7kf) also has a different reach than many, discussing human rights and various freedoms for various groups of people around the world. Or even jack (nprofile…6nhw) who has an incredible amount of reach and engagement from the wider tech community. It makes sense for many individuals to continue the conversation where more users are speaking, for now.
This will change eventually as communities and audiences gravitate towards freedom protocols and permissionless interactions. But we're not there yet and much work is to be done.
Keep building.
