The decentralized internet is ultimately a land of pirates.
Information might or might not want to be free, but my hard drive has grown from gigabytes to terrabytes, and my webscraping/torrenting tools have become idiot-proof - the data hoarder motto should be "my hard drive wants to be full".
If you want to grow the decentralized internet's popularity, you should basically steal the rest of the internet into it, to a place where copyright becomes impossible to enforce.
This also includes the concept of the alternative front-end. By scraping the big social media sites constantly, it becomes possible to create bridges on places like nostr with the rest of the social medias, transforming the internet experience into a unified one. Because this is a minefield in current law, the only way to achieve it is by making it more and more unenforceable.
