Sometimes, I get scared because our founding fathers didn’t think to put in the Constitution that laws cannot be based on lies. I understand why it didn’t cross their minds that people would be openly advocating to make lies into laws, but without something like, “Congress shall make no law requiring the acceptance of a falsehood,” I don’t really know what our court-based angle is.
