Have you read Ursula Le Guin's "The Word For World Is Forest"? Just the title itself drew me to this story, and I really loved it. It might be uncomplicated in it's portrayal of good vs. evil, and some readers criticize it for the lack of subtlety. But does everything have to be subtle? Is it necessary to portray the violence of colonialism with nuance and balance? Does it always serve the purpose of the story?
