I've come to appreciate image file names that incorporate the date, as sometimes when files get moved around, their original date of creation can get mangled or lost (ugh, why), so at least the file name is a source of truth. As I'm slowly going through my photo archives, I'm considering renaming files with their creation date and maybe camera model to lock in that metadata.
