No one's defending the presence of an ableist culture - we're all aware that accessibility should be improved, but no one (including Aral) discusses on the how. Instead, he rants to his 43K followers and expects everything to magically fix itself. So no, that's not what we're discussing here. He doesn't realize that trashing said culture directly affects volunteers.

With all that time I used posting on Mastodon, I could've instead fixed a few accessibility issues in GNOME, but because some guy decided to dogpile, that didn't happen. Aral also had more than enough time to isolate accessibility issues, but instead he decided to rant on Mastodon and write a blog post about it.
