I'd argue M:F predominance is skewing due to males being behaviorally externalizers more often. Impulse Control Disorders, disruptive in classrooms, etc. results in some biases.
However, the role of testosterone can't be overlooked either in the developing brain.
Lifelong, pervasive pattern of different processing, I would argue ADHD at around 9-10% is very prevalent.
