Thanks to advancements in Wine and easy to use clients like Heroic, playing your Windows games from GOG on most versions of Linux is about as easy as with Proton on Steam these days.
There's still the odd game that doesn't work, ofc, but overall compatibility is very high with GOG's catalog. Makes sense. No DRM to worry about and a lot of the games are older.
