Today I'm a bit tired. My j.o.b. is becoming more about process than results. I try to avoid using the term "fiat" as a blanket for "bad" as I've seen elsewhere, so let me say we are reaching a word where we are driven by numbers and stats more than getting actual work done. The bigger the company is, the more this is. I think the part that is eating my soul is that it's asking me more and more a cog in the machine and I don't feel what I do matters. I'm also in a field that it's so pervasive that I don't think it's better with any other company. I've tried for a few years to turn this ship and cannot. I've likely made some enemies and probably hurt my professional prospects one the way. Thanks for letting me vent
