I was thinking about Bitcoin last night and realizing that while there is a bit of a cult-like vibe around it, this form of $$ is a driving force behind re-opening technology in ways that have been rather closed for the past 15 years or so. It would be interesting to see how much open source tech has been funded by Bitcoin.
Unsurprisingly when I do a search Google only shows me results for how much bitcoin exists in the world or weirdly how much the US government owns.
