I have a suspicion that the widely circulating claims of this nature are vastly exaggerated.
Other than that, it should be pointed out that academic freedom has been in shambles for a while already, and let's just say it wasn't the fault of MAGA types. This whole thing feels like woke academics finally getting a taste of their own poison. I wonder if it will finally make them learn to appreciate freedom of speech.
