I'm the latter. I'm not a tech person, so when I see circuits and lines of code I freak out. Your guides were really helpful to me in that regard. It might be giving up your freedom to others but making steps that are easy to follow without necessarily knowing the ins and outs to the fullest (but having a basic knowledge is necessary) help bridge that gap
