Not to nerd-snipe but do you think it might be an opportunity to do something different than NULL-terminated strings? Or would that complicate things when you eventually want a compiler?
I honestly don't know whether there's anything better or what, but it seems like NULL-termination with static length chunks of memory cause no end of grief over the years.
