I am certainly not in favor of a nuclear war. It is just a very difficult situation, if NATO intervenes directly things could spiral out of the region and escalate in an unpredictable way. On the other hand doing nothing or just providing Ukraine with weapons can be seen as fighting a proxy war. But maybe it just is, a proxy war between the democratic countries and the authoritarian.
