A few months ago, preparing myself for how to teach college classes in a world of LLM, I had decided I would teach how to use it properly rather than banning its use. Now that I know more about OpenAI training it on copyrighted material it stole...and their demand for more copyrighted material, I have decided NOT to teach students how to use it but rather explain the ethics--and environmental impact--of it.
