Okay despite being very much a sceptic my whole life, I have been extremely interested lately in the paranormal. This stems from the experiences I’ve had lately previously described. In particular I really wanted to look for an explanation of when I have strongly felt premonitions of events that have then happened very soon after, that logically made no sense for me to feel it was going to happen.
I have been listening to a podcast about supernatural and ‘psychic’ abilities hosted by a woman called Nichole (I’ll have to check her second name but want to contact her about this). Yesterday, she was reading a story sent in about a woman who had met a guy a boating club who worked for a company in children’s mental health and about a year later she thought about applying for a job at the company. She hadn’t seen the guy in the year since. On her way to the club one day, she asked for a ‘sign’ that she should apply for the job, and on her way to the boating club her backseat belt alarm kept going off despite there being absolutely nothing in the backseat. When she asked for it to stop it stopped immediately if it’s own accord. She then met the guy at the club again for the first time in a year and felt that these were signs to apply for the job and has now happily worked there for some time and feels it was the right decision to help vulnerable children.
Just as I finished listening to the story, a car alarm began to sound in the otherwise quiet street outside me! I thought wow, I wonder if that’s a sign to show that there really is something more…I thought to myself what if I did the same as the woman in the story and said thank you for the sign and asked if it could stop. Exactly the moment that thought formed in my head, the alarm stopped!
I also listened to a story about a woman who had heard about ‘asking’ for a sign of a white rose. The woman who contacted the podcast say host said she had asked to see a yellow rose to feel a connection to a ‘spiritual’ or ‘other’ realm/ or beings, to guide her. A couple of days passed but sure enough the woman came across someone who pointed out the yellow roses they were growing in their garden.
As I listened to this, I thought in my head that I would like to see the sign of a blue rose. That was yesterday. So, I find this fascinating okay…today, the very next day, I went for a walk not too far just down my normal street (there are not many front gardens) to get shopping. I was listening to the podcast again. On my way back I had a feeling that I should look out for my sign I had asked for, despite feeling it would surely be almost impossible to find. Right at the top of my road where I heard the car alarm sound briefly last night, there is a monument. Usually I walk around the back of the monument but today I decided to walk around the front. I hadn’t walked past for a few days. Looking I saw a wreath of flowers at the bottom but was disappointed I didn’t see my sign. I looked up…and on the top of the monument was a wreath…and real, actual real blue roses. I just shook my head in disbelief, then nodded because I really do think that there is a higher consciousness out there. The signs are there if you need them. I feel there is a higher, benevolent consciousness in the universe, to guide us through this world to be our best selves. I really think it must be true.
