"This new form of automation will cost people their livelihoods" is an important issue to wrestle with in the context of automation. But if you're a happy and unperturbed user of lots of livelihood-reducing automation, while getting mad about new automation only when it would harm *your* livelihood, you need to clearly make the case for why it's okay for you to benefit from technology that takes other people's jobs, but it not okay for others to benefit from technology taking yours.
