I agree with you that more is not needed.
In fact, most girls don't need anything like this in schools because they have mothers or grandmothers who can talk to them about it.
It is sad to me that many people increasingly think that if something is not in schools, kids won't get it it at all. Parenting that is so poor that it includes no guidance about menstruation is rare.
What I see missing from the schools around me is good English language arts instruction, e.g reading and grammar. That can be done at home, as well, but it is more along the lines of what most parents send kids to school for.
