I spent most of today extremely close (about eight light-minutes!) to an unshielded fusion reactor. This thing was a beast, rated at almost 400.yottawatts of power. Luckily, I'd remembered to apply a protective film to my exposed skin, which allowed us and the kids to largely ignore the vast amounts of ultraviolet radiation this thing was putting out while we were at the beach.
Wear sunscreen. It works!
