I'm quite enamored with the Airvalent (also made in Latvia, like the Aranet). It is even smaller (5cmx5cm / 2"x2") and slightly less expensive.
Seconding the idea that IF you get a CO2 monitor for the home only, to get a more affordable desktop one. Maybe even with PM2.5 and VOC.
IKEA (which has its controversies) offers a PM2.5 and VOC (no CO2) monitor for 45 Canadian Dollars called VINDSTYRKA.
