This is 100% how I feel. September 11th has been co-opted by the people who before 9/11 didn’t care about NYC, and to this day do not care about NYC and the surrounding areas where the people were from who were in the towers that day (not to mention the Pentagon or Pennsylvania).
Like “patriotism”, t’s been weaponized and politicized.
