It upsets me when anyone tells a creator they should remain apolitical. Everyone has strongly-held beliefs, and you shouldn't have to hide those because you a public face. Sure, if you're tweeting from the Home Depot account, maybe check your bias, but on your own account, go for it. Anyone who's damaged by you holding a belief can unfollow you, or they can respond. And you're free to ignore them or engage them. Ignoring is often more productive.
