We are all Called to Purity
How can we, the unworthy, betrayed by our garments, enter into Christ’s Holy Bridal Chamber? How can we become wise virgins?
Only Christ Jesus The Lord can cleanse the defilement of our souls and save us! Only He who is pure can return us to purity! Let us then, receive Him who is Holy and Pure; Who is the only friend and lover of mankind, that we may not be shut out of The Kingdom +
For Holy Tuesday in Tone One
Into the splendor of Thy Saints how shall I, the unworthy one, enter? For should I dare to enter the bridal chamber, my vesture doth betray me, for it is not a wedding garment; and as one bound, I shall be cast out by the Angels.
Cleanse, O Lord, the defilement of my soul, and save me, since Thou art the Friend of man.
O Lord, help us, save us, have mercy on us, and keep us by Thy grace!
