i just want to be able to open a thread and see the whole fucking thread without needing to jump through a dozen hoops to look at it from every instance that's potentially participated in it because of federation issues or instance blocks, or to track down the 20 separate threads that have spun off from it because of asshole quoting it to dunk on random people they don't like
