This should have been a simple operation. Shut the home lab down. Pull the cables out of the back, put in the new pcie cards with the added storage, and then put it all back together. Instead it's been one problem after another and for no reason that I can figure out.
one drive in my jbod enclusure wasn't showing up. Why? Nobody knows. A hard reset (which is just a great thing to do) seemed to have fixed it, but for how long?
