There’s always the option of only using relays that bridge to Mostr, so it’s basically the same as Fedi without being stuck on a single instance.
My problem is more that the clients suck. Damus isn’t new anymore, and threads are still fucked, you can’t read conversations. All the devs care about is adding new gimmicky crypto shit instead of making a frontend that works.
